Artist's Description

"No star is ever lost we once have seen, / We always may be what we might have been." -- Adelaide Anne Procter (1825-1864), English poet, philanthropist, & feminist. Throughout history, the five-pointed star has stood for excellence and spiritual ideals. Hidden within the proportions of the five-pointed star are the Golden Mean and the principles of biological growth and form. This new series of star designs is based on hand-made kirigami (hand-folded-&-cut paper) designs that have been scanned and colorized digitally.
